  • Pain in the pelvic floor and pelvic region
  • Urological conditions such as urge frequency & over-active bladder
  • Prostate issues such as non-bacterial prostatitis

  • Sexual dysfunction
  • Bowel dysfunction & constipation
  • Pudendal nerve pain
  • Bowel dysfunction such as constipation

These conditions are often caused by musculoskeletal dysfunction and pelvic floor muscle imbalances, which can be addressed with a thorough holistic assessment using a combination of a biomechanical assessment, pelvic pelvic girdle alignment and where necessary, an internal pelvic floor assessment.

After a thorough assessment, a diagnosis is made and treatment will consist of:

  • Manual therapy for any musculoskeletal causes
  • Manual therapy release of specific muscles related to the cause of your symptoms including the pelvic floor when there are areas of tightness
  • Pelvic floor muscle re-training using biofeedback & electrical muscle stimulation when necessary
  • Bladder training for an overactive bladder
  • Effective rehabilitation and return to exercise following prostate surgery or urological procedures
  • Acupuncture for bladder, bowel and sexual dysfunction or pain
  • Advice for slow deep breathing exercises and stretches for self-management
